Amanda shook her head. "Um, no, I'm Romanian." she replied. "My parents where impaled because Vlad thought they where doing bad stuff I guess..." She said, shrugging. "Than, he threw me in prison along with other children who's parents had been impaled..That's where I met Slade, he's the one who changed me, along with 4 others...We where all kinda...well, like his undead family..."

"Amanda.." Helena trailed off. "I..I was Vlad's friend. An elder vampire of 400 years. I was turned in England by a rogue vampire who abused me, so I drank blood by my own will just to be free of him. I traveled all across Europe until I stopped in Romania..where I met Vlad, and he was mentor.."

Amanda went stiff and stared at the ground. How could...How could Helena befriend such, such a monster? She was only 27 years younger than Helena, so that meant she had came just as she was turned and a while after that, or came when she escaped, because she knew of course that she'd never seen Helena before, or...Had she..? In her age, sometimes things just slipped her memory, like faces, or the sound of someone's voice. "Why would you like somebody that horrible.." she whispered.

"I didn't know he kept young children locked up in the dungeons," Helena replied, feeling a little defensive. She honestly hadn't know, though. Helena was beginning to wonder if it would have been better to keep her mouth shut. "And I wasn't an Ottoman..he treated me fairly..but I know that's no excuse in your book, is it?"

Helena narrowed her eyes, feeling herself getting hot and bothered. "Do you think I wasn't aware of this? He only did it because it was during a war. You can never take foolish chances. What would you have done if you were in his position? Just let the people you can't trust go free? I'm sorry it had to be your parents, but we can't control these things.."

"Well you can control your self. Helena." Amanda retorted. "And he did it to his own people Helena, my parents did nothing! He killed them on a hunch!" Amanda huffed, now feeling more hurt than angry. Her anger soon turned into just plain out sadness. She'd lost 3 sets of parents, her real one's, and her adoptive undead ones.
She used to have 3 others with her, 3 boys that had promised to all ways protect her, and now? Now they to had left, not by choice of course, but sometimes it seemed like they had to little Amanda. Than, her adoptive parents from this century. They'd packed her up, and shipped her on her way to this place.
Amanda lifted her open hands to her face so they covered her face completely, and she began to sob bloody tears, and she let out a few sobs. She hated her self right now, she was being so mean, and to her only friend hear! Helena hadn't done anything wrong, she was a little girl just like her self, and she was right."I-I, s-sowwie Helly-ena." Amanda managed to muster the apology through her sobs that had reached their peak, and now where subsiding slowly.

Helena's face changed. Her eyes softened and her muscles relaxed. "Please don't cry," she said softly, scooting over towards Amanda, hugging her. "Apology accepted..though I do suppose you had a point."

Amanda wiped her tears away, and she hugged Helena back, but than pulled away. She sniffed, and wiped away more blood awya from her face.

Helena sighed as she looked at Amanda's bloodstained face. Two months ago, she herself had been the same. "I do need to tell you something, though.." Helena said quietly.
