Emily begrudgingly went in the door and into the room.

Once April and Emily were inside, Alucard changed into his hellhound form. The big, black wolfish looking dog with red eyes scanned the area, nose tilted towards a steady breeze. Hmm, Alucard thought as he stepped down into the empty street. He seemed out of place in this monochrome world, a speck of black against a gray and white backdrop. There's got to be food somewhere..
Then he picked up a scent, and followed it. It took him down the road a bit, until he came to deli. Alucard gawked at the sight of all the food sitting out..and no one was there. He changed into his human form, deciding on what to take and what to leave. We would need meat, that's for sure, and there's plenty of it here. Turkey breasts, hams, chicken, beef..now we need fruit and vegetables. Alucard took his coat off so he could carry the food easier.
When he came back, Alucard had an armful of food. There was the turkey breasts, hams, chicken, beef, and califlower, asparagus, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, apples, bananas, a thing of grapes, and an orange. Alucard stood at the door, kicking it with his foot. "Could one of you get the door? I've got my arms full!"

"Oh, yeah, sure." April heaved the door open, and helped him carry the food. "Next time," she groaned, "we bring bags." She set the food on the counter. "Want me to cook?"

"Good idea," Alucard agreed. He set the remaining items on the counter, and when April asked if he wanted her to cook, he nodded. "Yeah. I probably might burn everything," Alucard joked. "But we have to find pots and stuff first. I might have to go out again."

"Nah, here are some." April said, kneeling by the oven in the cupboard underneath it. "I'll cook some chicken." she plopped it on a pan, and preheated the oven, "and fruit salad, and some asparagus." she chopped up the three apples, half a melon, two bananas, and the orange with surprising speed, and swiped it all off the cutting board and into a bowl with the knife, and put it in the fridge while she cooked the chicken, which she popped in. After the timer blared, she took it out, sliced it, and placed some on each plate. She put the rest in a bowl. She took out the fruit, scooped some onto the plates, then put some asparagus on each one. April balanced the plates in her hands and placed them on the table, filled three glasses with water, and put them on the table, along with forks, the bowls of leftover fruit and chicken, and a plastic container filled with asparagus. "Dinner's ready!" she called out to Emily and Alucard.

Alucard sat down, quickly downing his glass of water. He didn't realize how thirsty he'd been. When he finished, he turned to April. "Thank you," Alucard said, appreciatively. Then he began to eat, also realizing how hungry he'd been. When was the last time I ate something? As Alucard began to eat, he began to recall things. Unpleasant memories that lead up to this point.
He'd become sick with something. He'd went on some freak rampage that ended with him killing two innocent people. He remembered Holly yelling at him and taking away Emily, and him and Raven fighting, which ended with her breaking up with him..
All throughout dinner, Alucard was frowning, and whenever he looked up, his eyes were staring elsewhere - he was distant. Eventually he couldn't eat anymore, and pushed his plate of half-eaten chicken and untouched asparagus away, staring blankly at his silverware.

"Sure." April chirped, then turned to Emily, "If you don't eat your food, it'll eat you." she chimed, remembering the words her mom had told her. She turned to Alucard, wanting to start a conversation, but when she saw how he looked, she frowned, "Alucard, you look green. Do you want to lie down or something?"

"I'm..fine," Alucard replied, trying to smile for April's sake. He rose from the table to put his leftovers in the fridge, and returned to the table. "The chicken was good."
